Pinched nerve in back causing leg pain

My husband has been suffering from pain in his legs, sharp pain at times, from a pinched nerve in his back, according to the doctor. Can you suggest something to relieve these pains as he has difficulty walking and standing at times. He is 71 and has type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesteral. He is over 300 lbs. and about 5'10' tall.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Dear Kitchy:
There are a lot of remedies to aleviate your husband's pains, but sure will be better if your husband lose weight and change his food habits. This will be the best.
After that, if you tell us location, modalities an -if it's possible- the quality of the pain, perhaps we can find the addecuated remedy to help you.
Best wishes

The pain starts on the left side of his back down low on the back (around the waistline) and then goes down his buttocks and left upper leg. It doesn't occur at any given time but when he is standing, walking or under physical stress he experiences the pain. It is alleviated when sitting. He can still have pains sitting but it eases up when sitting. Hope this helps with the remedy. I tried to pinpoint a time of day but he states it can happen at any time. Warmth and cold do not seem to affect it either.

Dear Kitchy,

That pain is the sciatic nerve, and I've been through it. Ouch :(

I know nothing about homeopathy, but thought I might share a physical therapy exercise.

He should lie prone, face down on the floor. Have him put his hands, palm down, like in a push up, BUT, his hands should be placed higher than for a push up, more around the same line as his head. Then, simply, push up, raising the UPPER portion only, off of the floor, as high as he can come up. I think this is similar or the same as the snake position in yoga. His belly should remain on the floor. Each time he lifts, count to ten, then back down. He should do ten repititions, a couple of times per day. This helped me.

Here's a link to look through, with drawings of the exerices. Hopefully, with homeopathy and these, he will get relief.

Dear KITCHY:
Sorry if I repeat the same that I said: The principal cause for this ailment is the excessive weight. To obtain some perdurable amelioration, your husband should lose weight, then tho ostheoarticular system will not suffer in excess.
Well, as 11:11 said, it appears as a sciatic case.
You can relieve his pains usinG KALI BICHROMICUM 9CH, three pellets, twice a day. When an amelioration appears, reduce the intakes to only one, and mantain while the symptoms are presents.
Best wishes

I am acquainted with some of the homeopathic doses but what is CH?

Dear KITCHY:
CH is the same as 'CENTESIMAL HAHNEMANIAN'. In Europe we write this potencies so; in other countries write as 'C' only.
Best regards
Andrés
