Gerd,hungerpangs ,burning sensations
Well, what can i say, i've been dealing with GERD-hearburn-acid reflux for about 2 yrs,and recently i haven't been able to sleep the full eight hours i should.Why?,because my stomach can't handle being empty.I get these horrible hunger pangs and heartburn every time my stomach is empty.So most of the time i have to eat before i sleep and soon after i sleep,maybe like 4 or 5 hours into my sleep i awake feeling horrible stomach pangs,heartburn,and my stomach roaring for FOOD.Then when i wake up in the morning it starts all over again.I got a really bad stomach ulcer about 6 months ago,and thats when everything went bad for my stomach(waking up at night with stomach pangs),it healed but the waking up in the middle of the night still was happening.Ever since the ulcer my stomach has been really weak.I don't get heartburn during the day,every thing goes bad at night time.I've also been sleeping at an angle almost like sitting up,I can't sleep for more than 2 hours flat,and that really has been bothering me.I need some help please,every time I've been to my doctor they just prescribe me a stronger ant-acid.And to top it off i don't have health insurance.soja43 on 2007-06-09

I do get relief after putting some food in my empty stomach,and i do get burning sensations in the stomach and upper stomach area,chest(heartburn).Like i mentioned before it only happens while I'm asleep.I'v been taking
ginger root pills,slippery elm, comfrey,and DGL root pills before i go to sleep and when i wake in the mornin after breakfast to help protect my stomach.I started taking them about 2 weeks ago and they have helped but about only half the time.And also drink aloe vera juice about 3-4 times a day.

'Ginger root pills' may cause burning as well. See if you can avoid.
I would suggest the following medicines:-
1. Ars.Alb.30C (2 Pills in the morning)
2. Graphitis 30C (4Pills three times a day)
3. Nux Vom. 30C (4 Pills bed time)
Report after 3 days of taking these medicines. Some changes may be needed at that time.
