Hi Sameer,
It has been 7 days now since I took the Lycopodium 30C as suggested.
A day or so after taking it I experienced what I thought was a mild cold including a sore scratchy throat and eyes for a few days.
The throat has cleared but I still have itchy eyes.
I also have a mild headache (like pressure from flying).
I have noticed no positive effects so far.
Kind regards

Firstly, thanks for getting back to me. I'm sure you're a very busy person, and I am very grateful to have your attention.
If you mean 'Have I been dominated by others' - as I wouldn't consider myself 'Dominating', then yes, at certain times in my life I have been too reliant on others and may have been easily led, due to lack of confidence, but never to any extreme.
As for emotional suppression - I am somewhat reserved in my behaviour, but can be quite emotional when pushed or ina comfortable environment.
Is this what you mean???

Have you been dominated by others where you had to undergo emotional suppression or abuse ?
Any events where you felt humiliated ?
Any tendency to suppress anger ?

Okay, my analysis again seems to come up with Silicea, let us try a stronger dose this time and wait longer.
Dissolve 2 pellets of Silicea 200c in 120 ml water, and take a table-spoon from there.
Report after 10 days.

Hi Sameer,
A happy new year to you and your family:)
It's been about 13 days now since I took the Silicea 200C as you suggested.
I have noticed no change in my symptoms.
I wonder whether my extremely bad sleep patterns might be interfering with the effectiveness of the Homeopathy? Could that be the case?
Looking forward to your reply

I am not quite sure, what is going wrong here. I can try to analyze it once again.
How much sleep do you get each day ? Any stresses ?

It really depends on the circumstances...but around 5 hours a day.
Not really any stresses other than being woken at night by a toddler with ear troubles reasonably often.
Would you like me to go through the initial points with you to refine things? It may expose something I have neglected to inform you of...

I probably do get quite stressed by obligations to my parents and my toddler, now I think about it.
My parents are getting quite old now and require a lot of my attention, and my time. This was easier before the baby came along, but now leaves me feeling helpless and worried...
Does this help:)

Thanks Sameer,
Ok so I have put something together with the help of my lovely (and thorough) wife...
Insomnia:
Trouble falling asleep and trouble getting back to sleep when sleep is disturbed. Sometimes accompanied by itchy, restless feeling.
Has been a problem for 20 years. Periods when it goes away for days, weeks or months, but there is no obvious trigger. Have tried herbs, acupuncture, hypnotherapy, melatonin, with no success.
Worse: when sleep has been interrupted more than once, when anxious, when tense, when mind is full, when other health problems are worse, after MSG or caffeine, when body is hot, during dry weather, when theres environmental noise present (even when very minor), when feeling physically restricted in bed.
Better: after eating, after milky drink, when body is cool, during damp weather, when alone and unrestricted in movement, when its quiet.
Acid reflux:
Burning in stomach with reflux to the oesophagus, sometimes with the feeling of a lump.
Family history of Barretts oesophagus: weak gullet, bad functioning valve between stomach and oesophagus.
Has been a problem for 24 years. Have taken various medications, including ranitidine, losec and a variety of antacids. Am currently on ranitidine.
Worse: always worse at night, when lying down, after overeating, after eating certain foods in the afternoon/evening, dark chocolate, citrus, sausages, deep fried and salty foods, tomatoes. Tea and coffee can also aggravate.
Better: when upright, during the day, after dairy products, after chilled water.
Allergic rhinitis:
Chronic sinus congestion on both sides (all year round). Deviated septum on right side. Hayfever (grass seed allergy) in spring/early summer. Prone to sinus infections as a result.
Has been a problem most of life. Have been using Sinex nasal spray for 10 years. Recently started using Nasonex spray (cortico-steroid) as well, which has improved the symptoms. Conventional hayfever medication doesnt work very well. Have also tried non medicated treatment: eating local honey in the lead up to hayfever season, saline nasal spray with no success.
Worse: in spring (hayfever season), dry weather and wind, after contact with allergens, after dairy foods and Chamomile tea, when lying down.
Better: wet and/or humid weather, when near the sea, after stimulants, during exercise, when bathing, when well hydrated.
Medical history (aside from above problems):
Diagnosed with vestibular neuronitis in mid 2007. Had 2 severe episodes around that time (severe dizzinessunable to move without vomiting). Treated with Stemetil. One minor episode about 4 months later. Several days over the following year when minor associated symptoms returned, especially when tired, rundown, and after alcohol or more than one cup of coffee. Havent felt symptoms now for about 4 months.
Suffered from acne from teenager to early 30s when treated with Roaccutane.
Prone to superficial skin cancers (basal carcinoma) on forehead, forearms and hands which have mostly been treated with freeze burning.
Operations: removal of ingrown left toenail (20 years ago). Both big toenails have the tendency to be ingrown. Removal of gum behind upper front teeth (palate).
Illnesses: mumps, measles and chickenpox as a child. Chronic tonsillitis during 20s.
Accidents/broken bones: left wrist x 2, left outer knuckle, left small toe. Numerous sprains including right ankle x 2. Head injury x 4 (required stitches x 3, concussion x 1).
No major dental work.
Character:
Feels things extremely passionately, but maintains a calm exterior. Worries easily, especially about loved ones. Has a strong sense of fun. Makes friends easily and makes people feel comfortable. Eager to please. Slow to anger, but once angered can be explosive and vicious. Responsible and careful. Tendency to be pessimistic. Introvert. Caring and loyal. Low self esteem. Driven by emotion rather than thought.
Enjoys active, physical pursuits. Has artistic and creative interests.
Food aversions: shellfish, mushrooms, butter, sour cream
Food cravings: coffee, alcohol, chocolate, bread, salty foods, cheese, sweet baked foods, nuts.
Usually feels warm and prefers cool weather. Gets cold when asleep.
Idiosyncrasies: right foot is smaller than left. In hot weather, sweats from the top of the head a lot during the night and the smell is very musty.

I can tend toward jealousy in relationships because of insecurity.
Not really envious.
I'm sometimes suspicious, if I don't know what's going on around me.

Hi Sameer,
I haven't as yet experienced any positive effects from the recent Carcinosin 30C dose.
My wife seems to think there may have been some improvement in my mood, but I don't think I have felt any changes.
Is there something else that compares closely with the Carcinosin that you would recommend perhaps?
Many thanks...

Hi Aqua,
Carcinosin is related to Natrum Mur, Sepia, Phosphorus, Calcarea, Silicea, Staphysagria, Silicea, Lycopodium and Pulsatilla.
I do not see a case for Staphysagria or Sepia at all.
That leaves Natrum Mur as a medicine which we have not tried. But for it to be your remedy, you must enjoy brooding over past disagreeable events a lot. It is as if a Nat-m patient loves wallowing in the memories of past hurts.
On another front, I personally would think that Carcinosin might be the right remedy, as your wife has noticed improvements in your mood. When was the Carcinosin dose taken ?
