hives for 3 months
I am a 37 year old woman. I began getting hives after starting the asthma medicine Advair. I have been off it for over a month. Still get hives daily. Mainly on legs but also everywhere else. I have been given so many different medicines by allergist. Currently on Loratadine and Hydroxyzine. Prednizone has been mildly effective. But I can't keep taking that. I had a phone consult with local Homeopathic provider who suggests Lapis. I have done much research and not found where Lapis is suggested for hives. Apis is what I've found to be most suggested in my research. I'm new to homeopathy and concerned. Any help or advise would be appreciated.Thank you, Amy

I started Advair inhaler in July and had hives show up in August. In August met with allergist who suggested I double up on dose of Advair because of breathing problems. Now I have some good days and some bad - today is pretty bad.

I just got my homepathic remedy this afternoon after short acute consult over telephone. I was given Lachesis 30c. Told to put 2, no more than 3 pellets in 1/2 cup water and take 1 teaspoon twice a day for 3 days. I used 3 pellets. I hope & pray this helps! Hives are very bad today. I just took my first dose 25 minutes ago. Does this sound right to you?
I took one loratidine 10mg this am - it provided no help or relief.
Thanks, Amy

About an hour after taking first dose of remedy hives got worse. Almost as bad as when they were at their worst. An new symptom is my upper lip has swollen up quite a bit. I've taken 3 Benadryl since taking first remedy dose. This last Benadryl seems to be getting hives to settle down a bit. Should I continue with remedy?

if the symptoms have aggravated, please stop the remedy.
if you have got new symptoms, please talk to your physician.
in my opinion, its not a lachesis case.
this points to either pulsatilla or ars alb.
anyway, as you have started lachesis, i am not suggesteing any other remedy now.
come back after 15 days if lach doesnt help.
