Herbal supplement along with homeopathic remedy??
Hi. I am hoping someone can help me with this. I am wondering if herbal supplements can be taken along with homeopathic remedies. My son is taking a homeopathic remedy, LM potency, about every 5 days or so. I am wanting to start him on a curcumin supplement, but am not sure if this will interfere with the effects of the remedy. Would it help to not give the curcumin supplement on the days that I am giving the remedy? I appreciate any advice on this. Thanks!Jen

HI Jen
For this question the answer would be situation specific. If you have got some supplement that can interact with homeopathic remedy, then it's wise to stay off until the homeopathic treatment is finished. if they don't interact supplementation would be fine and in some cases supplementation will drain the system off toxins and will increase the vitality(for instance probiotics) so that remedy can work more swiftly and gently.
And a tip is: don't start remedy and supplementation simultaneously then you can't observe the individual effects. Once the treatment has stabilised you may start the supplementation.

HI Jen
You can google out for the reported interactions between both stuff. And you can also talk to your homeopath who suggested LM doses and the practitioner who suggested Cucurmin supplements.
Some links for you to read about cucurmin as a start:

In many eastern countries cucurmin is part of their diet :)so no need of supplementation. As far as my opinion is concerned both stuff have least chances of interacting.

Seems like Sameer is handling your son's treatment and he has given his opinion just above. Different homeopaths may have different opinions based on their knowledge and experience regarding supplements but it'd be better to follow somebody who's already handling your son's treatment-- in this case Sameer and other person who gave you the suggestion of cucurmin supplementation. If you're particular about cucurmin then you'll have to have a free and frank chat with the practitioners handling your son's case about why you feel so?.
Best wishes.
