6 month old baby-running nose and cough

Hi All,
Need help for my 6 month old baby which is having these symptoms:
running nose - sticky
Cough - Not dry

DOn't want to give them antibiotics to 6 month old.
Any suggestions - should i go with antibiotics or use homeopathy.

Waiting for info since babay is not well.

Can you give some more details:

Any smell to the discharge?
Any particular position (carried upright on shoulders) that relieves the nasal complaints?
Does the baby wants to be carried? or carried and moved?
Any time period for aggravation?
Any emotional concomitant change? irritability or crankiness?
