No taste, No smell?

My fiancee has been suffering from loss of smell and taste for around 2 years now. It started after a period of substance abuse (cocaine), He has not used cocaine for more than a year or so but has been left with these symptoms. Has extreme difficultly breathing through his nose at all times of year, however is dramatically worsened by hay-fever symptoms. This has also begun to cause severe snoring in the last 6 months. He has trouble distinguishing between flavours at all, however can sometimes taste what he has just eaten, after blowing his nose?? If anyone has any suggestions or advice we would be very grateful to hear it. Thanks.
