3 Days Horse Unable to Produce Stool

Hello, I was wondering if I could have some assistance for a geriatric horse that has been unable to pass manure for 3 days. It began with what appeared to be a back injury (lost control over hind end, particularly right side) and progressed to colic and complete lack of interest in food - just wanted to lay down. He also presented yesterday with subcutaneous emphysema over his hind end. There is lots of gas and violent gut sounds, but he is unable to pass manure on his own. After the vet assisted him, he brightened right back up and wanted to eat again. But a few hours later, he started laying down and thrashing, lack of interest in surroundings. He once again had to be assisted in passing manure. I gave Nux V. 12C (it was all I had) it didn't seem to have much of an effect.
Any help or suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
