Spider Bite Wound Infection
Dear Dr. Sameer,I think that I was bitten by a spider at a friend's house 6 weeks ago. I felt a bite and I noticed a red dot on my thigh surrounded by a bullseye. The wound became inflamed within 4 days and was full of pus.It took 10 days for the pus to discharge.
6 weeks later the wound is finally scabbing over. The scab area and surrounding skin is a very dark purple. I am concerned about the color.
I was diagnosed with Adrenal Fatigue 3 1/2 years ago. My body becomes inflamed easily due to possible low cortisol and a weak immune system. I was also bitten by spider in January 2005. I developed cellulitis of finger. Antibiotics were prescribed. I have scalp sores for 1 1/2 years and they are red and scab over. My scalp is tender but does not itch. I have recurring right sinus infection since last December 2008. This developed post severe bout of flu.
My current medications are Caltosin lm 8 drops daily and Zinc Phosphoricum 3-5 drops as needed.
Can you please advise me how to deal with purple skin?

It sounds like i'm a bit late with this info but it may help someone else. I have had great success with spider bites that get infected and become big red sores. I use a poultice made of plantain leaves. bashed up with the meat mallet and in a cloth. Over night and the difference was amazing. Just google to see you get the right plant. Good luck

It can be so dangerous i know because i suffered [B]black widow bite[/B] on my vocation..
i was in texas at my uncles home and spider bites me.
In first time i didn't know that was spider bite. After few hours pain was horrible and i decided to go to explore on internet some about spider bites.
Informations and pictures was telling to me that was really spider bite. I called 911 and went to hospital a my vocation, can you imagine??!.
Doktor sad to me that black widow is so dangerous spider that can produce anputation, i was shocked!
That's my story people. I'm hoping i will help someone if read this and learn more about bites..
