Cough and running nose: Infant
My younger son,9 months and elder son,3 years, are running with cough and cold again. Both having rattling cough and running nose. Right now they do not cough very frequently but I am afraid, it will get worst as last time (15 days ago)
Last time I treated them with allopathic medicine but it is happening with them again and again . Elder son goes to school and he gets infection from there.
Please advice what should i give them and what should be dose/ frequency for both of them?
Thank you.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please give them the remedies as follows
day 1
three doses of Arsenicum Album 30c at a gap of 4 hours.
One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 1 drop in some 10 ml water. Sip up slowly.
day 2 to day 10
one pellet each of the following tissue salts thrice a day at a gap of 4 hours
natrum sulph 6x
ferrum phos 6x
This should also take care of the dry skin problem of 3 year old. So no other remedy for that.

You may continue with ferrum phos and natrum sulph upto 10th day and come back with the following information.
Can you please give the following information
1. whether he prefers warm surroundings ie whether he likes to be covered or he prefers cold surroundings and open air.
2. whether he has a mild disposition or an irritable diposition.
3.What other physical problems, if any does he have.
4.At what time he feels better and at what time does he feel worse like in the morning, evening, late night etc.
5.What do you think is the causative factor for starting his problems. Whether this problem is hereditary.

Still my younger son (9 Months) have cough and running nose. most of the time Phlegm (White in color, not very thick and not very watery also) discharges from the nose and he coughs a lot.
There is a lot of water discharge from his eyes.
Answer to the questions you asked:
Q1. whether he prefers warm surroundings ie whether he likes to be covered or he prefers cold surroundings and open air.
A: He prefers open air, we try to cover his head with cap but he takes it off.
Q2. whether he has a mild disposition or an irritable diposition.
A: From the time he got cough and running nose, he looks dull and sometime irritated.
Q3.What other physical problems, if any does he have.
A: Frequent water discharge from eyes.
Q4.At what time he feels better and at what time does he feel worse like in the morning, evening, late night etc.
A: he feels better in night and worst in day. he cough almost every 1 hr. It aggrivates when we go out of house.
Q5.What do you think is the causative factor for starting his problems. Whether this problem is hereditary.
A: I think it is more because of Bangalore quickly changing weather. It started with my elder son when he came back from school. He might have got infection from somebody in school.
natrum sulph 6x and ferrum phos 6x is not working for him. Could you suggest what should I do?

I am in Bangalore (India). In Bangalore, It is hot during the day and cold and dry at night. The drop in temperature is almost 16 deg.C ( day at 30deg C and night at 16 deg C) and the humidity is 75%. Just before this spell of wet weather, it was cold and dry. Drastic changes in weather patterns causesÂ’ lot of problem.

As per Remedy Finder grid it is suggesting Phosphorus. Should I give him Phosphorus? If yes what should be the power and dose?

day 1
three doses of Phosphorus 30c at a gap of 4 hours
day 2 to day 7
1/4 tsp Sitopaladi Choorna (an ayurvedic medicine) with honey thrice a day morning-afternoon-evening
If there is no relief after 7 days you may give pulsatilla in the same way as above instead of phosphorus.
