pigmentation after acne pimples

Hello to all!
Is there anything which can be done after acne pimples have healed leaving red spots which do not disappear for months, maybe even years? I suffer from that for a long time, pimples heal but the skin is red afterwards and does not heal. It is only on the right side of the face, next to the nose and on the chin. The skin is also very dry. Thanks for suggestions.
