Infection of Optic Nerve
Around 2 years back my mother had a sudden bout of blindness. The problem has been diagnosed to be an infection of the optic nerve. For the last one and half years ahe has undergone treatment with IV steroids with no significant improvement. While searching on the Internet I came across this forum. Can anyone suggest if there is homeopathic treatment for the problemThanks

Hi Arijit,
Does she have any other illness? Any diseases in the past? What is her age? Does she have a total loss of vision ? ( or is it blurred/ at a particular hour of day etc...)
"Sudden loss of vision" is a comparitively rare symptom, and only a few drugs are listed under this symptom in homoeopathic literature.
Please give her Natrum Mur 200, 5-6 pills, on clean tongue for three consecutive nights. Ask her not to eat/ drink anything atleast for half an hour before and after taking the pills.
Post back about her condition.
Take care...

Hi Arijit,
Diabetes can cause blindness, if the blood sugar levels are not under control. So, that could be the case with your mother.
Also, diabetics are more prone to infections, so even that could be the reason.
Have you started giving her Natrum mur?
Is her Blood sugar level in control now?
