Nasal congestion and pregnancy
I am 37-year-old female and 7 months pregnant. I am pregnant for the first time and I have been taking treatment for allergic rhinitis and sinusitis from a homeopathic doctor since last two years, this treatment had given me lots of relief. I have hypothyroidism also which is under control and for which I am taking minimum dosage of thyroxine that is 25 mg/day/ But now since last 2 and half months that is as my 5th month started i started I started feeling suffocated and breathless. Initially my doctor said it is because of low hemoglobin as my hemoglobin dropped to 8.9, but now it is increased , but still the problem is same. My gynecologist prescribed me Otrivin nasal drops, which i have been using since last two month, but since last week i am having swelling in my nose from inner side which is quite painful and it is causing lot if discomfort and breathing problem for me, so can u please suggest any medicine for this and tell me that if this bio combination 5 will be safe to consume as i have swelling in the mucous membrane of nose.jhandu on 2011-06-18

To reduce nasal congestion due to swelling, please take Lycopodium 30c, one dose only in the evening/night and report back after 1 or 2 days.
To maintain your thyroid level right is extremely important and hence follow the dosage prescribed by your doctor. Iodine helps to maintain a good thyroid level. Pregnancy vitamins usually carry enough vitamins and hence take them.

Hi, Please take Iodum 200c, 4-6 pills twice a day for about 2 wks. Do steam inhalation with 1drop of eucalyptus oil in about 1/2- 1 litre of water whenever there is nasal blockage. Maybe your thyroid also will normalise with this medicine. If u have any more details u can share it with us. Anyways,keep me posted. TAKE CARE.
