Hypersensitivity to smells - Please help!
Hello, I am suffering from extremely severe sensitivity to smell, especially perfume and cooking odors. This was brought on by taking Ferrum Phos, which was prescribed for weakness, fatigue and headaches.I have never heard of this kind of sensitivity. If I am exposed to perfume, breathing becomes very difficult and I feel faint, go into shock and have a panic attack. This goes on for 2-3 hours, and I'm completely exhausted for the rest of the day. I've started leaving the area whenever I detect any amount of perfume (certain cooking odors too), and this alleviates the symptoms somewhat, and can prevent the full-blown panic attack, but the difficulty breathing and the faintness persists. This is extremely alarming as any odor can cause this, at any time. Someone simply wearing perfume can put me out of commission for a whole day. I've been under homeopathic care for many years and never had such a violent, long lasting reaction.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
