Mood swings and autism
My 7 year old daughter having large mood swings crying to laughing. I have heard that Belladona may be a proper treatment. Just trying to figure out dosing.autismdad on 2012-04-10
This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Homoeopathy is a complex system of prescribing based on a holistic approach, and requiring a very large amount of detail for sucessful prescriptions.
You cannot give one of our medicines on the basis of one symptom. Belladonna, like all our medicines, has a complete profile attached to it which must be matched to a complete profile of the patient. Belladonna has violence, terror, heat, suddeness, and many many other characteristics that should be present to justify its use.
The symptom you have mentioned is not unique to Belladonna. In fact a search through our literature brings up 71 remedies that are known to have this as a feature.
Autism is a complex condition to treat. A very detailed history needs to be taken, and the child really should be observed by the homoeopath. Things like gestures, movement, sounds, expressions can be important in determining which remedy is needed. The child's specific sensitivities, fears, anxieties, food cravings, sleep issues, nightmares - all sorts of things need to be examined to find the clues that lead to the correct remedy.

Hi- you had posted earlier about
trying to find a homeopath in Mn
and I gave you the name of a 4 yr
college to get referrals.
You have to have an expert in this.
What happened to finding a local
homeopath?
