Urinary Tract Infection most probably
Hi,I got my first UTI 6-7 years back. And then now, 1 year back, I have gotten it twice.
I have taken antibiotics most of the time but I avoid it till I can, more so because I have been a firm believer in homeopathy for last 15 years.
Strange, but I have tried homeopathy for every ailment besides UTI.
ok, now for my symptoms, I usually dont have the regular symptopms that most people have of burning, urge to urinate,difficulty urinating etc. Since last 2-3 weeks, i have been feeling a low level of energy, feeling feverish, especially during evenings or night and after exertion. Feeling slightly cold in my body, havent measured my exact temperature but I can tell I have low grade fever, may be a degree higher than normal. This week, I am feeling feverish everyday and feeling body ache also.I have a feeling, its UTI again because i dont have flue etc.
Today I gave my urine for culture but it will take them a about 4 days for all the testong. I wanna start homeo in the meantime. Can you please suggest what I can take, I dont have cantharis 30, I have cantharis Q mother tincture, can i dissolve that in wanter and take that. Any other remedies?

But where are indications for UTI? Good thing homeopathy doesn't go by names... From your present symptoms, I don't see indication for Cantharis. What are the USUAL symptoms when you have a urinary infection? A bit about yourself would also help.
For the present, I think its best you take Ferrum Phos 6x every two hours and see if you feel better. Please post with more details.

The symptoms I listed are the symptoms i most usually get when I get a UTI.
Feverish feeling on and off, body ache, slight rise in temperature, my normal temperature is usually 98.4 but today morning, its 99.
Otherwise, I am a normal happy girl. I dont like winters, get sore throats easily which go away with merc sol and hepar sulph.

Still Ferrum Phos - or use Aconite if you don't have Ferrum P. - or even both. Aco. is more a remedy to be used in the VERY beginning stages, but I've seen it work a bit later too.
No, what I mean is, what are your symptoms when you have the infection? What URINARY symptoms, if any.
Do you mean you use Hepar and Merc TOGETHER or alternately? Or one or the other? When'd'you last use these? Why do you choose to use these?

ok, sorry now, my culture results came, its not UTI. The routine exam for urine shows ph of 8 which is high.
so, I am not sure what I am having? regular flue or what? My temperature is around 99.2, feeling weak and little chilly.
I dont have ferrum phos, any other recommended medicines, thanks so much

Which remedies do you have? You can look up Gels., Influenz., Rhus Tox, - and there's always Aco., though might be a bit late for Aco now. Choose whichever you have which best suits your symptoms. (preferably 30 potency, te a day.) If you can get remedies quickly, we might list others - trying to think what most people usually have on hand.
Next time I suggest you start Aconite as SOON as the symptoms hit.
