medicene for hypertension

i have mild hypertension which actually shows up in winters-abt 150/90,im male 48 otherwise in ok health with no heart disease or any problem-all my testst are normal including blood sugr,cholestrol,i exercise regularly,dont drink and consume non veg once in 10-12 days.i want to know which is the best medicene for me -is it ATENOLOL which i sometimes pop in 25 mg when my bp shoots up or ayurvedic medicen which i am having regularly with limited effect in winters or homopathy-what abt RAUWOLFIA SERPENTINA.also which is the safest out of these two namely atenolol or raowolfia.also does high uric acid raise bp bcoz i have this tendency of high uric acid.plese help
