Treating E coli infection in urinary tract
Treating a76year old with cantharis 30 for e coli infection in bladder for last 3 weeks. Slight imrovement in urinary flow symptomps. Suggest further line of treating.vissu11 on 2012-12-08
This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Has the person had the urine checked again to see if e coli is gone?
Urinary tract infections can be hard to get rid of with homeopathy
unless you get the remedy right. Cantharis can ease symptoms
but not cure the problem if it is not the right remedy.
I have been prescribed Cantharis myself and after a week thought
the infection was gone and it came back bc it was only being
covered up. If you let these things go on , you will have a kidney
infection and worse to deal with. Have the urine tested to see
if it is still there- it is easier to use antibiotics and get rid of it,
and then use probiotics to repopulate the gut - bc this is not
a disease, it is an acute problem that is from a hygiene mistake.

Probiotics are to always be taken after antibiotics. Bc Antibiotics
kill the good gut flora and you have to get the good gut flora back
in there. The person may not need the probiotics if they have not
had antibiotics- or not any for a long time. Things like yogurt,
have natural probiotics in them, but usually just a few strains.
You need 8 strains of bacteria in a probiotics after antibiotics-
I can write later where to get them in India, if you ever need
to buy them.
The probiotics have nothing to do with her urinary tract infection.
I don't know how much pain the person is in? But when I had had
a urinary tract infection, the pain was terrible, so if it was me?
I would not wait for 3 weeks to see if it was gone? what if it is not
gone? and this has got worse? or got into the kidneys? I would
get the urine tested now and do the antibiotics and get the
thing over with and then do probiotics.
