Rishimba my son constitutional

Hi, I'll post the link to the last thread I had going with Evocationer but it's quite a few pages and he has improved some since the beginning. So I'll give you a quick summary. He had been improving with the belladonna 200c, then we had to get him shots for kindergarten (im against them, but my husband and the state are not). And after that he sort of regressed. I gave him another dose a couple weeks ago but not a ton of improvement. I was thinking stramonium is very similar to his situation but I'm only in beginning of learning.

http://abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/457467/

I would say his main issues are behavioral and related to personality extremes. He's afraid to be alone, especially at night but even during the day. It is not normal. He is too attached to me for his age. He is smarter than other kids his age and could read in preschool when others only learning the letters. During sleep he wakes in the middle of the night crying and grinds his teeth as well. He is dominating/controlling in play and tells others what to do. He is sensitive emotionally and used to be physically but has improved in that way a little. He gets his feelings hurt easily and gets angry easily if not getting his way. He is also competitive and when he plays sports gets mad at others if they take the ball from him. Sometimes he tells me his voice sounds loud in his ears, not sure what that means. He sometimes dribbles urine in his underwear without control. He loves chocolate and all bread, also cheese. The last 2 years he had some sort of seasonal allergy that caused his voice to become painlessly hoarse the last week in June and would last for a while. I think he has improved enough that that won't happen but we will see next week. He also hates to get anything on his clothes, like water or spilling anything. He freaks out. I think that is the general symptom picture. Let me know if you need more info, thanks

1. Let me know his family health history for last two generations both sides.

His father and I are in good health. Father has slightly high cholesterol and had history of mild bipolar tendencies but doesn't take medication or anything. My (mother) parents are in good health at age of 52 and just slightly high cholesterol of each of them. His father's parents have a couple of issues. My husbands father has had c*ncer in his jaw or throat and they also found colon c*ncer. My husband's mother is recently diabetic. That's it so far.

2. How was the pregnancy and delivery? Anything abnormal, any mental or physical trauma or anything worth sharing?

I became pregnant unexpectedly, and had to quickly transition from a selfish-partying lifestyle to that of a responsible mother. Physically I did this when I was only two weeks pregnant, but mentally and emotionally it took me longer. When I was 12 weeks pregnant, my job went out of business and I went from being active waiting tables to laying in bed all day. I ate some healthy things, but also some unhealthy things. I gained 70lbs, and had anxiety. My blood pressure also fluctuated from low to high.

I found out he was breech at 35 weeks and they would not let me try to labor naturally as I wanted. He was born via c-section.

Birth itself didn't technically have any problems other than the fact that I do not feel he was ready to come out and just seemed completely unhappy for the first 2 months of his life.

3. Any peculiarities in his habit or behavior?

Um he doesn't like getting wet if he's not planning on it, like if he spills something on his clothes. He doesn't like his food touching. He also has an OCD about his sleeve length. He doesn't like it if his sleeves don't come exactly to his wrists. For a while he was really picky about food. He would like certain textures and he had a strong gag reflex.

4. Any symptom arising after vaccination?

I personally think vaccinations had a negative impact on him but he had some other things going on around same time. After he started drinking milk at 1 he began having a lot of ear infections and they gave him antibiotics quite a few times. Then he had an allergic reaction to penicillin and then we began noticing sensitivities and the hoarse voice that I've now realized is/was a seasonal allergy.

5. Describe his nature and personality.

Yes he can go from one extreme to another in his personality. He is talkative, careless, impatient, stubborn, angry if contradicted, laughs when nervous, sometimes disobient. We often think he's not listening to us. He also wants to please though but never thinks he's wrong. I don't want it to sounds like he is only negative traits. He can be very two sided. When he is himself, he is so sweet and wonderful. He is very sensitive emotionally and he used to be physically but not so much anymore. He is controlling and dominating in play, and gets very angry sometimes if he doesn't get his way. Sometimes he is defiant. Gets his feelings hurt very easily. Sometimes throws major tantrums. Often if he gets worked up, he cannot calm down and he will tell me so. On the other hand, he can be sooo sweet and kind and giving and helpful. Sometimes, its like a negative energy sort of takes him over. I tell him he has a "stormy cloud" when he's in that state of mind.

6. What are the situations in which his mentals aggravate and in which situations is he happy?

His mentals aggravate when he doesn't get what he wants. When something unexpected happens or changes and hes not prepared. He's happy alot when he gets to do what he wants mainly! When someone is playing the way he wants them to. WHen he's outside in nature.

7. Is he comfortable in warm or cool climate?

I think he likes being warm better than cold. But not too noticeable.

8. Food cravings and aversions?

He loves chocolate and bread and cheese. He doesn't like eating certain fruits whole, like bananas. He like the baby food mashed bananas though (weird, lol). Just recently he started eating whole fruit. He doesn't like pickled things like olives/pickles. He also doesn't like spicy.

9. Sleep, appetite, hunger, sweat, thirst, energy levels etc.

For sleep, he doesn't want to sleep alone ever. He used to be hot at night but haven't noticed as much lately. He will wake up crying in middle of the night but can't explain why. Most times he needs to go to the bathroom. A couple times he has peed the bed, but not a habit. He grinds his teeth in sleep. He has a good appetite and is hungry a lot. Thirst is normal. He has tons of energy. We always talk about how this kid can go longer than we can and would stay up later than us if he could.

Let me know if any more info will help

Please answer the following questions...

1. Most children are afraid of dark..is he abnormally afraid of dark and wants light always, even during sleeping? I ask this as you have given him a dose of STRAMONIUM and I wanted to know if this symptom is very predominant in him.

2. Does he take bath / shower every day without any fuss?

3. Does he like to dress well or is he particular about his tidiness?

4. What time generally does he go to toilet for stool?

5. Did he have any skin disease ever since birth?

6. At what time of the day is he most hungry and wants to eat?

7. Is he comparatively talkative or quiet?

8. How is his confidence in new situations and new places?

9. At what time at night does he usually get up and start crying?

10. Does he often complain of his skin itching and burning due to some reason or the other?

I just wanted to clarify this one. I have NOT given him Stram. I have been studying the repertory and it seemed similar to his situation, but that was just a guess. He is NOT abnormally afraid of the dark. He actually likes it dark if he in not alone. It is being ALONE that he is abnormally afraid of. Not just at nighttime either.

2. Does he take bath / shower every day without any fuss?
Yes most days he has no problem and likes it. Only if he's busy doing something else he's having fun with does he sometimes fuss about it.

3. Does he like to dress well or is he particular about his tidiness?

He is particular about not having ANYTHING on his clothes. If he spills he must immediately change. He's particular about what kinds of things he wears. He likes pants more than shorts and lately really likes tank tops but sometimes it varies. But he does want to wear what he wants to wear at that time or will fuss about it.

4. What time generally does he go to toilet for stool?

This seems to vary. He goes almost everytime but sometimes skips a day. Sometimes he strains. Oh and one other thing. He never needs toilet paper. He never has poop on his butt! It is the strangest thing!

5. Did he have any skin disease ever since birth?

He had a couple of flat warts on his leg and a couple on his hand but it went away after the homeopathy. I gave him a dose of dulcamara and shortly after he began the BELLADONNA. But they disappeared. He went through a time with very sensitive skin but it seems not as bad as it was. That's all I can remember at this time.

6. At what time of the day is he most hungry and wants to eat?

Mostly in earlier part of day. We have to like force him to eat dinner. Late morning through afternoon seems to be hungriest time. Evening not as much. He always wants bread, he loves bread. He loves sweets like chocolate, also cheese.

7. Is he comparatively talkative or quiet?

He is definitely talkative. Not quiet at all.

8. How is his confidence in new situations and new places?

It used to be not good. In preschool he did not want me to leave. He is getting better about it, but still doesn't want to be alone (without someone he is comfortable with) in new situations. I don't know if its a confident thing or what. He's my first child so I didn't let him go on his own enough when he was little and I'm afraid this may have affected him negatively.

9. At what time at night does he usually get up and start crying?

I haven't noticed it being a specific time. It'll normally be when he has to go to the bathroom. But he won't be able to explain what is wrong. We just know at this point, that he probably has to go to the bathroom. He won't sleep in his room, so we make him a bed on the floor right next to ours, and he still complains that he's not close enough to us and wants to be in the bed with us.

10. Does he often complain of his skin itching and burning due to some reason or the other?

No I never hear him complaining of this.

Constitutionally he seems to be LYCOPODIUM at this stage of his life.

Whenever you want to give him a constitutional dose, choose 1M on a single day morning.

rishimba 9 years ago
Ok thanks. I'll have to get that remedy. In the past he was somewhat sensitive to remedies and I forgot to mention that. I'm not too familiar with the M doses. It will not be too strong will it? Also, he has 1 vaccine left to get then he will be done for good and he's getting it next week. I will wait until after that to give him the dose. Thank for your help and I'll keep you posted.

bwill13 9 years ago
Sure, let him get the mandatory vaccine doses and after about a month, you can give a single dose of LYCOPODIUM 1M.

I suggested 1M as he has already taken 200C single dose. For best results, the next higher potency is chosen.

Ok I will wait until 1 month after vaccine to do that.

Even though the 200c he took was BELLADONNA?

Sorry for the questions, I'm just trying to understand for my own future knowledge. Thanks

Hi,

I think you are completely right that he needs lycopodium the same as my daughter. My husband is taking him Monday to get the final vaccine. His behavior has been soo bad lately though and he has been having his incontinence a lot as well. Would it hurt if I gave him a lower dose in the mean time? Like a 30c or 200c? Or will the vaccine antidote those and that's why i must wait the month? Thanks

bwill13 9 years ago
You can give a dose of 200C if his mentals are very bad and match Lycopodium. Lycopodium, will probably bring the excesses under control. However, if this is his personality based on his genetic disposition, it will not change much. Homeopathic constitutions in children are used to cure their physical ailments and not to change their behavior unless the behavior is unnaturally intense.

Hi, Thanks so much. His behavior is unnaturally intense, and lycopodium matches him very well from the repertory work I have done myself. Altough, I am an amateur and didn't want to give him something without a professional opinion. I will get the lycopodium both 200c and 1M and start with the 200c. Thanks for your help.

Hi Rishimba,

He received his last vaccine about a week ago. It seems his fear of being alone is even worse. Last night he cried uncontrollably because he was "lonely" lying on a bed we make for him on the floor right next to our bed at night. It is so extreme and abnormal. He doesn't want to be anywhere alone. This is not normal behavior or a 5 1/2 year old. I've ordered the Lycopodium 1M, I have not given him the 200c yet. Do you think its best to just do the 1M first? I'm a little afraid to give him such a high potency but if you think it is safe for him, I will trust your opinion. Also, is it necessary to wait a full month after the vaccine? Or is it possible to do any sooner? He starts kindergarten in a little over a month and hope to get him on the track to healing before then. Thanks so much

Please wait for a month before giving Lycopodium. Vaccine dose is just like a material dose of a homeopathic remedy. For a few weeks after vaccination, the body immune system works on the foreign matter injected and re-adjusts itself. It is always better to wait for a month after that.

One dose of 1M Lycopodium can be given. Is he afraid to be alone or afraid to lie down?

rishimba 9 years ago
He's afraid to be alone. Afraid to be alone ALL the time. Day and night. Its worse I think since getting His kindergarten vaccines. Ok I will wait.

Hi Rishimba,

I wanted to update and see what you thought. So I gave him a dose of Lycopodium 1M on 7/28.

7/29 he was having major tantrums and awoke in the nigh muttering and crying and wen into the bathroom and peed all over the floor. It was strange and scary. When he came back to the bed, he was almost incoherent like, like he wasn't there. He has done this before when he had a high fever. It was a bit scary.

7/30 He actually played in his room a while which he doesn't normally do.

However, I haven't noticed much change since then. He still does not want to be alone. Especially at night, wants me to be right next to him. He won't even lay on a bed on the floor right next to our bed. He becomes hysterical. I'm not sure what to do. What do you think?

You can try a dose of STRAM 200C after a few weeks.
