Teething baby with loss of appetite
Good morning,Thank you for taking the time to read this. My 9 month old son finally started teething yesterday: I can see a bulge in his lower gums. He also had the Hep B vaccine 3 days ago, which made him feverish (99.3 rectal temp) and made him lose his appetite the day after the shot and become cranky, but by yesterday all symptoms were gone and that is why I think this is related to a tooth coming in. He doesn't have a temp (98.9 rectal temp), but is very irritated and nothing seems to please him, except me staying by his side , taking him out for a walk or giving him a cold teething toy, which is interesting since he doesn't seem to want to chew on toys more than usual, but a frozen one makes all the difference. He cries inconsolably for naps for at least 15 minutes until he falls asleep, but he can't sleep for more than 30 minutes at a time (he usually takes very good naps, sometimes of 2 hours). He drinks his milk happily and more than usual, but he absolutely refuses food and even vomited a mix of what it seemed water with milk. I tried giving him chamomille 30 c with no result, so I tried calcarea carbonica 30 c and once again nothing. I ended up giving him baby motrin since he was very tired but couldn't fall asleep (he is sleeping right now). I have to add that I believe he is an arsenicum album baby (this has helped him immensely in the past for colds and a case of early acid reflux), but I haven't tried giving him this remedy yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
