Aggravation after taking Sulphur 10M: Philosophy question.

I was suffering from sever back pain. After a 2 month usage of Arnica, Bellis, Ruta and Rhustox ( all in 30) I did not get any benefit.

I took Sulphur 10M one dosage. After two weeks I suddenly suffered aggravation in my symptoms and some old disease came back.

1. Blood in stool.
2. Pain in right knee.
3. Bronchitis problem, cough, expectoration

but after few days all have subsided considerably. I wanted to use Sulphur as my body was not responding to pain in back as a result of an injury.

But what I am wondering and want to ask a question from learned people: Why my old disease came back? is it a good sign? or I created problem for myself by taking High dosage of Sulphur.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Aggravation is NOT always a good sign unless it is followed by amelioration.

So you have to ask yourself two important questions here.
1. Is your chief complain better than BEFORE taken sulphur 10M?
2. How are you feeling in general?(meaning how are your sleep, appetite, mood etc)

If your answers are No, then the potency was too strong and possibly the wrong remedy too. Your vital force got violently shaken by high potency and the old symptoms came back all over the place, probably without any order ( The most recent one should come back first ).

This is about case management, not about a phylosophy. You took the remedy but not knowing what's going on or what to do next.
I am not opposed to people who want to self medicate, but it sometimes becomes difficult when you don't know what to expect or how to proceed with your case.

And I don't think you created a problem for yourself, but if you haven't got any ameliorations ( even just 1 % ) after the aggravations then you just created the aggravations for nothing and you have to start all over again. This is very common not only for people who self medicate but some homeopaths ( inexperienced or very beginners) as well.

Tui,

Thanks for the insight. I took the Suplhur thinking as an inter current. Aggravation remained one day and back pain is getting better.

But I would not self-prescribe now, would like to consult a doctor now.

Intercurrent need not be 10M. A dose of 200c would have done the trick.

Before sulph., the medicines you have used are known to help with post injury pain. If the problem was not about injury, other medicines should have been used.

Maheeru,

I injured lowerback when I had to stand for 5 straight hours. I have been reading about homeopathy for >10 years. So I used injury remedies but it seems to not working. I even used these medicines individually. Few months back, I had to suffer another accident on my right foot and used Arnica 200 daily for a month along with Ruta and Rhustox in 200. Feet is fine but even these medicines did not help an iota for backpain.

Pain is in the right side muscle and its been 4 years it is hurting me.

Can you please share your insight what else I can do?

My body reacts very poorly to injuries. I injured left deltoid muscle and it lingered on for months. Right now right arm muscle is injured during exercise and it is not getting heal as well. So that was the reason of using high potency, in a hope it might give an impetus to immune system.

What's the trigger/starting point for this back pain?

To give an impetus to immune system, it's not necessary to use a potency like 10M, still 200c would have been a great choice. 10M usage is more to do with constitutional treatment and or if one has to deal with mental/emotional issues.

My lower back becomes stiff when I had to stand for long, so this is the triggering point. Same occurs when I had to sit for long. I feel good when I press hard on those muscle. X Ray showed no issue with vertebra. It is soft issue pain.

I have visited your prifile and have noticed that, you are sometimes seeking help and sometimes injecting advice to take remedy. If you are trying to get knowledge it is not bad. But knowing some about a remedy and applying this, may harm anybody.
There are milions of advice you may see by the help of google to take remedy to cure a problem. But it is very dangerous to apply them without having good knowledge.

Please be careful.

This message is for taking Sulphur 10M.

You might try Puls and see if it improves your back pain. Use 200c.

You should mention here in which section of vertebra, C5/C6/C7 or in the hip etc. I think you should take an MRI after consulting an Orthopaedic Doctor.
Sorry for intervening.
