Hypoglycemia and pain

Greetings, friends!

Ive been experiencing occasional low blood sugar episodes, typically during the night. Through continuous glucose monitoring, Ive observed that around 3 am, my blood sugar drops to around 50 mg/dl. Fortunately, as morning approaches, the liver kicks in with the dawn effect, bringing my sugar levels back to normal.

Ive noticed that increasing protein in my diet helps alleviate this issue, while consuming sugar exacerbates it. However, there are times when protein isnt readily available, and carbs become my only option, which can trigger these episodes.

During low blood sugar episodes, I often experience pain on the left side, seemingly originating from my kidney. Fortunately, this discomfort subsides as soon as I consume something to raise my blood sugar.

In the past I used to drink lots of coffee and skip meals putting strain on my body
