Are self tanners safe to use?

I just wanted to ask a forum that is more on the natural side....are the self tanners safe to use? There are a lot of chemicals listed on the back but I was just wondering if there are any long term effects.

Would be a bit cautious on this.List the chemicals and perhaps domeone will tell you.
