Histaminum for chronic allergy (allergic rhinitis)
Hi, I am a 34 y old male. I've had allergy based sneezing/stopped nose since I was 10 yrs old. My allergy is not due to food. IT is due to environment - any sensation to nose - including hard hit, dust, mites, pollen etc - any sort of irritation can kick of my sneezing. Sneezing lasts for 3 days in geenral when it hits. Profuse sneezing, mucus, blocked nose. Unfortunately, since childhood, I used Otrivin (a very strong nasal drop) which used to give me nasal relief (otherwise my nose would be blocked). Only recently at the age of 30 did I leave it after I read it probably destroyed my nasal linings. My characteristics: Optimist, somewhat overweight, otherwise healthy, love food (non-veg), height: 5-6, skin: wheatish
What makes my condition worse, when it hits: lying down blocks my nose completely, sitting down, being warm
What makes it better: being in the AC, standing up
While searching around I came across a homeopathy nosode called Histaminum - funnily my Boericke MM does not have this listed. Nor does abcforum - it has a buy option but no description.
Any help on this medicine or otherwise? I am COMPLETELY FED UP with this.

An update for Dr. Sharma:
I've been taking ars alb 30c for 3 days now (I don't have 6c). I have not had any sneezing since then, but again, like I said, I don't know if it is due to ars alb, since I don't sneeze all the time - it is only that when it hits, it goes on for 3 days. My nose is still blocked at night (usually, my left nose is blocked if I sleep on left, and right if I sleep on right).
Any further action?

Hi Dr Sharma,
any updates for me?
Today, I felt like another bout of sneezing was about to return - nose twitching, some sneezes (typically in my case, this heralds an attack of sneezing for 3 days if it gets into the swing). I immediately took aconite 200c a couple of times and it looks like it is controlled now.
Per your directions, I am continuing ars alb. My nose still gets blocked at night - the side which I sleep.

Since you have these symptoms from the age of 10 years,
1. ask your parents whether you have had, sinusitis, bronchitis or any other pulmonary diseases and treated with antibiotics.
2. Have you had any mercury tooth fillings?
3. Whether your parents suffered from allergic ailments?
