The ABC Homeopathy Forum
sore, itcy, burning, tingly scalp and hair loss
I am a 30 year old female battling with hair loss, itchy/tingly/sore scalp for over one year now.-In addition while scrathing at my scalp I often find tiny little pieces of what feel like soft granules of sand.
-My scalp is greasy and I must wash every day with a tea tree shampoo to relieve the itching temporarily.
-My hair has become very dry, brittle and is falling out. I can see my scalp easily from a distance when looking the mirror.
-I have long, blonde, fine curly hair.
-My scalp often feels likes its burning but only in certain spots sporradicly.
-Before this condition began I had a gread deal more hair and never suffered from any hair conditions such as dandruff, greasy or dry hair/scalp.
-I have been to dermatologists and medical doctors, and have have bloodwork done. One doctor suggested I take more iron but in general I was healthy.
-Many years ago I saw a gynocologist for irregular/painful periods, and lower abdominal pains. During my exam she noticed right away that I was dryer than normal and believed me to be suffering from an estrogen defficiency. Without insurance I was unable to follow-up although my papsmre came up abnormal.
-For three years my husband and I have been unable to get pregnant, my periods are immensely painful and irregular. They often come twice a month, or last for weeks, or don't come at all.
-I am always tired and stressed because of my physical un-well-being, although I get plenty of rest.
-I have noticed I never sweat, always have a dry mouth, rarely if never drink fluids, and never feel thirsty.
-I have a huge appetite but am underweight for my height. 5'8'/115lbs.
-I am seeing many spider veins in my legs, very large ones and am only 30.
-I feel as though all of my conditions mainly my scalp/hair are related somehow to hormones or the lack their of.
I am desperate and refuse to turn to general mediciine as they seem to always be in a hurry to diagnose even if incorrectly and prescribe antibiotics.
-I only use natural/organic hair and body products and try to eat well.
I welcome any and all advice as I know many people have posted with similar conditions/symptoms and there are many questions to be answered on this forum.
Thank you kindly in advance for all of you help.

I too thought perhaps some sort of stress/depression may have caused my condition. However, I can't think of any incident or period in my life where was experienceing mental/emotional turmal. Outside of the normal day to day stress I am a normal healthy happy individual. The hair loss if anything is causing me mental and emotional turmoil. I've tried all kinds of topical organice/natural remedies to no avail.

Mentally: I spend a great deal of time thinking about how my hair continues to fall out. What will I do without hair, a wig, scarfs... I notice myself looking at other people's hair, the thickness, smoothness, etc. I also take comfort in seeing other young women suffering from hair loss.
Emotionally: I feel inferior, unattractive. I feel less than a woman because my hair is in such a horrible state. Having to untangle my hair is a stresful process as I wathc so much hair on my comb and in the shower drain. A woman's hair is her glory and I'm losing mine.

Thank you Dr. Yogesh.
If you don't mind, are there any signs/changes I should look for, immediately? Should I apply anything topically to my scalp?
I appreciate your timely responses and genuine care in adressing my concerns.

hi cacklinhen, I was hoping you could post an update on ur situation bc I am having a similiar problem. Did the recommendation help??

Sorry, ma chere, I didn't check back on this site because I had no luck with the recommendation... My symptoms are still all the same and the hair loss is worse. I feel defeated and am resigned to having to eventually by a wig. Hope you find some answers.

Did you want to try again. I am happy to take the case if you like. A much more complete case really needs to be taken to find the right remedy - what has been presented and explored here isn't really enough.

Hello cacklinhen,
that's ok it's understandable. I tried your remedy also because our situations sounded similar. The recommendations did not work for me either. Just recently after so long of dealing with this I found some relief...I got back on/ switched oc's and bought an at-home laser device. I've noticed a huge improvement. Let me know if you find anything that helps.

Ok lets get some detailed case-taking done.
This is my intake form. It is fairly generalized, your answers will create more specific questions for me.
GUIDELINES FOR GIVING HOMOEOPATHIC CASE INFORMATION
It is important to describe all your problems in as much detail as you are able. One word answers and short sentences are not particularly helpful. Discuss each problem one at a time, providing (as a minimum level of detail) the following information.
1. What exactly happens?
2. Describe all sensations and pains. Each pain or sensation should be described in such a way that allows us to imagine having the same pain.
3. What causes the problem to get worse after it has started occurring?
4. What creates some relief for the problem?
5. What triggers the problem into occuring?
6. What time of the day or night does the problem occur?
7. When did the problem start? What was happening in your life at that time? Did some specific event or treatment take place just before the problem started?
Move from one problem to the next, doing the same thing. IT IS VITAL THAT YOU GIVE A COMPLETE PICTURE OF YOUR HEALTH BY PROVIDING ALL PROBLEMS YOU HAVE, EVEN IF NOT CONNECTED TO THE MAIN ONE, AND EVEN IF YOU CONSIDER IT OF LESS IMPORTANCE. You should address each problem separately using the above 7 questions as a guide.
As well as this, please describe any traumatic incidents that have taken place in your life. Discuss anything that has had a lasting impact on you mentally, emotionally or physically.
Discuss the way that you manage or deal with your problems, or any problems that occur in your life.
Discuss any patterns you have noticed in your behavior especially concerning your disease.
Discuss any part of your life where you feel stuck or unable to change and grow, especially where this occurred around the beginning of your disease, or as the disease evolved.
Describe your childhood and the kind of environment you grew up in, with reference to your relationships with your family, your school experiences, and any serious childhood diseases.
If your earlier discussions have not mentioned these already, please describe:
1. The specific foods that you crave (not just like) or hate
2. The specific drinks that you crave or hate
3. What your sleep is like
4. How the weather and the temperature affects you
5. What kinds of things in the environment you are particularly sensitive to
6. What your general level of energy is like
7. What your level of sexual energy or desire is like
8. Describe your menstrual cycle
9. Also give these details
a) Body type and build
b) Skin colour and texture
c) Areas of the body tends to perspire on
d) Odour of sweat, body, stool, flatus, urine
e) Colour of stool, urine, sweat
10. Give any reactions to vaccines or medical drugs.
