2 yr old adenoid problems
Hi, my 2 yr old son is having problems with his adenoids, he has seen a ENT specialist and have advised me his adenoids are inflamed and over working and this is causing his nose to produce constant mucas. I am trying Kali Bich on him but not sure im seeing a difference and its day 3 of him taking them, can you please advise me how long these would take to take effect and also if there is any remedies that my also help him, like I say his nose is constantly running and he cant breath through his nose very easily, the ENT are hoping he grows out of it and can avoid surgery etc, this has been going on for about 6 month, thanksdawn0411 on 2011-07-19
This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please give him three doses of Calcarea Carb 200 as follows and report back after 7 days (only 3 doses in 7 days).
day 1 morning
1st dose
day 1 evening
2nd dose
day 2 morning
3rd dose
One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 1 drops in some 10 ml water. Sip up slowly.
Please don't eat or drink anything within 15 minutes before or after taking medicine.

Hi thanks for your quick response, icant seem to find that specific treatment on the internet, would you know a shop I can get it from or would Calcarea Iod and Calcarea Phos work the same, i have found these on the internet for adenoids in children, thanks

You may give him calc phos 200 in the aforesaid manner. Later you may give Calc Carb 200 if Calc Phos fails to work.

can I also ask why the kali bich wouldnt work as it deals with mucas and also how the remedies you have stated will work for this situation, thanks
dawn0411 last decade
Kali Bich will work if the totality of symptoms point to kali bich.
Calc Carb is a good remedy for children. It is a good remedy for mucus and adenoids.
The repertory returns Calc Phos as a prime remedy for adenoids.

Hi, just a quick question, im on with trying the calc carb on my little boy tomorrow as the calc phos hasnt done a thing, I note you stated to only give him 3 doses over the space of 2 days then report back after 7,
I have read up else where that I could give him 5 pellets 3 times a day until symptoms improve, just wanting to know why your smaller doses would work better and why report back after 7 days and not after 2 days of him having the treatment, thanks

It is not good to give a remedy like calc carb 200 repeatedly. This is a rule but there are exceptions. One should wait 7 days to know the effect of 3 doses. Dose size doesn't matter in homeopathy.

Hi does it matter too much if he has eaten within 5 minutes of taking the medicine, I read your first post again after giving him the first dose of medicine
dawn0411 last decade
It matters. There should be a gap of atleast 15 minutes. He may take one more dose, so 4 instead of three. The fourth one on day 2 evening.

Hi, I know its only day 5 but I have noticed a change in my sons conditions, only slightly though, the main problem was the amount of mucas coming from his nose, his nose is still running quite alot but it has definately slowed down, its still very green what is coming from his nose (not sure this matters) and he also doesn't snore as loud, he still sounds as though something is blocking his airways but am hoping you have a next step for me to give him further treatment that will evenually correct his symptoms, thanks

Please wait for next few days. If he improves under the influence of earlier doses of calc carb there is no need to give any more doses.
If you find that there is no significant improvement in next few days, please repeat three doses of calc carb 200 and wait for 10 days.

OK thank you, you have been a great help, its the first time i've ever used homopathic remedies and will definately be using it for other problems, it was my last hope and im very pleased with the result

abchomeopathy did a great thing by taking homeopathy to people in a big way. The credit also goes to people like you who have shown faith in prescriptions made on-line inspite of the disclaimers appearing here very prominently.

Hi, I just want to double check, im giving my son another 3 doses of the calc carb 200 as still slightly has the problem, I understand that i must not give him food within 15 minutes of the doses, but do fluids matter or toothpaste, might seem like a silly question but I brushed his teeth just after gave him the second dose this morning, hope this doesnt matter, thanks again
dawn0411 last decade
Nothing should enter mouth 15 minutes before and after...nothing should be eaten, no drinks...mouth should not be brushed or cleaned.
There is no need to repeat the remedy for slight problems. The remedy acts internally for 30 days after it is taken.
