herniated disc
My 28 year old son has been suffering greatly from a herniated disc for five months now. He has tried chiroprators, meds, rest, ice, and physical therapy.Nothing helps. The doctor is recommending surgery. Can you tell me what remedy I could give him. he has pain down the leg also.thanks,
Julie

Hi Jamour,
What was the cause of this? Accident, sports, lifting something?
Have you tried homeopathy before ? What medications is he on
if any?

He almost had surgery seven years ago. He has a disc that is narrowed on the inside so the nerve is getting pressed. The only new cause was a long car trip five months ago. I have tried homeopathy many times for myself. He is taking a mild narcotic for the pain and gavepenten (spelling?) for nerve pain. They are helping just a little.

Hi,
Did the MRI indicate any bone spurs going on? What was the MRI
recent report?
You can put his case on here by filling out the form answers-
http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/188925
Give a lot of detail on what the pains are like for him-it is best
if he gives the answers.
I want to mention that I have had several friends and relatives with
similar issue and also had done all the things you have done. What
gave a tremendous amount of pain relief was shiatsu massage. They
work the spine, you wear clothes. One feels beat up, ( in a good way)
and then it kicks in 24 hours later. You need to get the real deal in
Shiatsu by someone well trained. If you cannot find that , next best
is someone well trained in acupressure massage - it is similar.
Acupuncture has also helped with pain on those I know but nothing
compared to the shiatsu.
