Please help... Hairfall

Hi, I'm 31 year old female. I was around 58 kgs and had lost around 8 kgs over 3 months time, in 2013. Around the same time I was diagnosed with vitamin d deficiency which is very common in the place where I live. I had taken a course of medicines for vitamin d deficiency. By November my hair had started falling out and I thought it would stop over a few weeks or months.as I had really thick hair, I was taking it lightly. But the hair fall did not stop ever after that. I have done all blood tests including iron, thyroid. Everything seems to be normal and vitamin d too has returned to normal.. I was prescribed nat mur, by a homeopath. But it did not help. Currently taking vitamins by phyto and using the full range of products by phyto for hairfall. I haven't noticed any big difference. Hair falls out in chunks and I get a few strands in my hand every time I touch the hair and my hair has got to half its volume. I have tried pretty much everything. . My sleep pattern is abnormal since my teens.... I find it very difficult to fall asleep....but I doubt if that has anything to do with my hairfall ....please help..... .

Some questions...

1. When did you move to Dubai? Do you think the desalinated sea water that is chlorinated before being supplied to households could be a reason for your hairfall?

2. What happens when you go to bed and try to sleep? What kind of thoughts cross your mind and prevent you from sleeping?

3. Do you think your mind becomes active when you try to sleep?

4. What time do you go to bed and when you generally fall asleep?

5. Share some situations when you got overly hyper and stressed.

6. Cite some of your hard times when you kept your cool.

7. Do you like wearing loose or tight clothes?

8. Did you ever note the relationship between your hair-fall and intake of vitamin-D tablets? How many days did you take vitamin-D? Did the hair-fall start right after that?

9. You said you have emotional outbursts right before the flow. What happens when the flow begins? Does it bring relief to all your physical and mental sufferings?

10. How is your mood as soon as you wake up in the morning? Do you feel good and refreshed? What thoughts cross your mind just after waking up?

When did you deliver your baby? Did the hair-fall start just after the delivery?

Do you feel any sensation on your scalp these days...like itching, pain etc.

rishimba last decade
I delivered in 2008.

I don't have any itching. I feel a slight pain after putting my hair up in a tight pony which I feel is normal.

You seem to be a Pulsatilla lady constitutionally but the remedy that's going to help here is PHOSPHORUS.

Please try PHOSPHORUS 200C two doses on a single day, each dose 12 hours apart.

Take the doses in empty stomach and clean mouth. Do not take any food or water one hour.

You can come back here to share if it produced some response during the first week.

Hi Aj-

Anytime you feel pain ( not just your hair) your body is telling you something
is not right. Having pain from a ponytail is not ok. Please google 'Traction Alopecia'
Read on it and see the images of hair loss from hairstyles.

Here is another part of an article on ponytails.

While these styles are fun and easy, they can also be hard on your hair. It sounds as if you might have traction alopecia, a type of hair loss caused by wearing hairstyles that pull on your scalp. Here's what may be happening: Your hair grows out from hair follicles that sit deep in your scalp. If your hair is constantly being pulled, the roots get tugged loose from the follicles, and the hairs start falling out faster than they normally would. The good news is, if you catch the condition early, the hair can grow back.

Here's how to protect your hair and avoid traction alopecia:

- When you put your hair up, don't pull too tight. Wear loose braids, buns, and ponytails, and take them down at the end of the day.

- Use coated rubber bands. Try Sephora's Snag-Free Hair Elastics or Goody Ouchless Hair Elastics, which I use to tie up my hair at the gym.

- Alternate the way you put your hair up, or even just the location of your ponytail, so you're not always pulling on the same hairs.

Thanx Simone. I was aware of this possibility. But I did not know that the pain was not normal.

Pain is always a signal- stop and pay
attention and change something.

Dear Doc,
Sorry for the late reply. It took a while to get phosphorus 200c as it was not available in the stores nearby.. Its been a wk now since i took the course. There is a considerable difference in the amount of hair that is falling off. I will keep track for another wk and keep you posted. Thank you so much.

Aj456 last decade
If the symptoms relapse you can take one dose weekly for some three weeks for long term relief.

Dear Doc,

Thank you so much for your advise. My hair fall has reduced by 90 percent. And I have completed the 3 wk course as advised.... I was wondering if I should continue the course, or end it....

Also I just had a quick question regarding cellulites... Is there a treatment in homeopathy that can help with cellulites... Do i Need to start a fresh thread for the same???

Aj456 last decade
I feel you should not take any further doses of Phosphorus now. Your system has taken over and will cure it completely. In case your hair fall starts again, take weekly doses for three weeks or so.

Cellulite is difficult to cure. Please describe it here as much as possible wrt color, texture, sensation, location etc.

I am not very hopeful but will try to work on the case.

What are your fever symptoms, like thirst, hunger, shivering, sweat, amount and color of sputum etc.

What is your mental state?
