Dogs having allergy during raining season
It's been raining almost the whole day every day the last whole month. Now the sun is coming out in the morning and rain continues in the evening. As a result, a number of my friends' dogs (I think 10) are having skin and paws problem. Each of them brought their dog(s) to the vets and were given the usual antibiotics and creams. Diagnosis: fungal and yeast infection after some lab tests.
Group observation: most dogs have long coat (which trapped moisture). All of them have problems in between paws. Dogs will keep chewing ....
Breed: Shih-Tzu
The dogs have small red spots, some dark spots or patches either on the chest, some on the hips or back, some near the genital area, all of them have the problem in between toes. Great itching and the dogs are giving their owners the despair look; in turn the owners are driven nuts. Some of the dogs even have hair discolouration - coppery red coat. How on earth did that happen?
Homeopathy is still very foreign to a lot of people in my country. Even with these group of dog owners with their problematic dogs they don't feel comfortable to let their dog take homeo medicines internally. Majority feels external application for Homeo is OK for the dogs. But vet antibiotics are OK to them!!
Very hard to re-educate these people that treating just the skin surface is not the correct way. Also a number of them refused to shave down their dogs despite the problem.
Do you think letting the dogs wear booties during the rains will help a little? Still the long coat will touch the dirty rain water on the ground/grass. I am more concerned with the dogs' despair than the owners' thinking now.
It would be terrible to bathe the dogs everyday during the cold wet weather after each walk (some 2x or 3x daily). One of them is even going to buy a humilifier specially for her dog.

Thanks for your response, Dr Deoshlok.
It will be difficult to convince these dog owners to allow their dogs to take Dulc internally. Will crushing the pills and put them in a basin of water and allow the dog to soak in it helps?
And will the same remedy help the whole pack? I understand one particular Homeo medicine may work on one patient but not another.

200 daily for a month is way over the top for that potency-- each dose will be affected by the previous dose.
I would in any cas suggest Natrum Sul 30c - one dose on three successive days and wait a week to judge result-
