Aggravation symptoms
I’d be interested to hear from anybody who has experienced aggravation symptoms of a physical illness after having tried a homeopathic remedy, without having had prior knowledge of this homeopathic phenomenon. I certainly have, and although I still believe that there is no definitive clinical evidence to suggest it’s effective beyond a positive placebo effect, I remain mystified as to how it has produced an aggravation.[Edited by Michael249 on 2025-04-01 08:06:13]

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Homeopathy works bc Hahnemann discovered that the human body will not tolerate two similar out of balance states or “disease” - I can’t remember right now the Nobel prize winner some years ago who was experimenting with recognizing diluted substances.
This scientist was not doing this for homeopathy- it was bc they now have more precise instruments and we’re seeing how much these instruments could show the diluted substance vibration and recognize it.
So he proved the substances at a very diluted level .
This is what remedies are-a diluted substance that when healthy ppl took it they monitored their reactions. This is the materia medica of any remedy showing the hundreds of things healthy people experienced. When you match the symptoms well with a sick person the body thinks that this is a second disease. The body raises the life force to clear out the remedy.
As it does this it ends up targeting the real disease and moves that out.
This can go in stages and everyone will have a unique response and from the response you adjust the doses or potency etc.
And btw you d not want extreme aggravation-
you want to fix that- Arsenicum 10m ?? Is way too high to start with.
I think you need another homeopath.

Thank you for your response. I presume you haven’t actually experienced an aggravation of symptoms due to a remedy. I appreciate your explanation but, as I understand it, the consensus of opinion outside the homeopathic community is that homeopathic remedies do not show any benefit beyond that of a placebo, and that there is no clinical evidence for their efficacy. I can accept they can be beneficial, but that is more to do with a positive placebo effect, which is something that can be shown to occur also with allopathic treatments. As I stated in my posting,given that perspective, I am staggered that the remedies I am taking have had a direct effect on my condition which cannot be a “ negative” placebo effect! Please understand I am not disparaging homeopathy, but simply stating I cannot believe that it is having a direct effect in my case. An aggravation symptom is extremely impressive! It has changed my view of homeopathy, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone whose condition does not warrant allopathic treatment. Very respectfully M

Glad it’s 20c not 10M.
I have used homeopathy for decades on me, children, Friends, coworkers etc.
You are not going to have a placebo effect with a small child or an animal.
I have seen literally over a hundred times my children start a small cold and give them Ferrum phos 6x a few times-if you give that right at the start it stops the cold in 48 hours but you have to give that at the start- It creates more red blood cells. I have seen my pets and numerous animal cases on here for over 10 years get better. I have had many aggravations and seen others have them. One was a person with a cold sore on his lip. I have seen
Perhaps 30 people who I gave nat mur 30c as one dose for a cold sore and told them-WAIT and watch as it gets smaller and only dose again when you feel nothing is improving. Instead the person did not listen and thought-more is better-so they aggravated and had 10 more sores show up bc they consumed half the vial. Good luck with your treatment.
