Constitutional Type

I've been reading throught he constitutional remedies and I can see that at one time or another I've pretty much been all of them. :/

What I'm closest to now, Phosphorus (or at least from my perspective), is not what I was during early childhood which seems to me to be Sulphur. At least in my very limited knowledge of homeopathy, this is my observation.

Well, my question is this: Say that some of the ailments in a person can be traced back to childhood, would I be WAY off to think that the consitutional remedy from childhood, even if it's not the same in adulthood, can be curative, even moreso than the current type, in adulthood?

I don't know if I'm making sense, but say someone has MANY issues as an adult, but has had a relatively peaceful life since some extremely traumatic event in early childhood or even at birth can they be cured with what their constitutional type would have been after the event? Would their constitutional remedy change over time?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
'I've been reading throught he constitutional remedies and I can see that at one time or another I've pretty much been all of them. :/ '

This is what a layman feels when he reads about remedies, he will see shades of himself in every broad remedy of the materia medica.

It is highly unlikely that you have more than 3-4 remedy layers in you, and hence it is not possible that you have been all of them in your life.

A constitutional type is what remains when all the layers that can be removed have been removed.

Right, I can see that, plus I've only briefly skimmed all the types.

So the constitutional type would be the same in childhood and adulthood, but a person can take on different types as they experience life that may warp their constitutional type?

What's the best way to figure out my constitutional type?

Honestly, Ars felt spot on in SO many ways when I was reading through it, especially the mental stuff, needy, selfish, etc. Once it didn't work, or apparently, as I gathered by you not going ahead with that same remedy, I started looking elsewhere and was torn between Sulphur and Phosphorus.

My first instinct was Sulphur because I can live on sweets and have that hot hands & feet thing where I have to sleep with my feet uncovered, even in teh winter and I can give long-winded speaches with the best of them and always feel the need to answer questions by explaining things from every angle, from the begining. But something, overall, just didn't feel right. When I was reading about Sulphur I more imagined an ackward individual, flushed, nervous, round piercing eyes, sleep deprived, gangly, weak, etc. My best friend comes to mind right away! If I hadn't known him I would have labeled myself Sulphur, but he is the epitome of what's described down to a T, and while I'm a lot like that, I'm not THAT extreme... If you stand me and him in front of a crowd they'd label him a freak and me normal...just as far as appearance. Once we began to speak they'd label him a genius (he just doesn't make sense to most people and they assume his concepts and theories are too intelligent for them to understand LOL!) and they'd be surprised by my ackwardness! hehe! In the long run he would outtalk me, though, he's tireless and I'd be mixed in with the crowd or he'd be the outcast and I would have taken all the attention away! Either way, I still end up more integrated and accepted by society, if only for my looks.

I'm probably over-analyzing stuff. :-) It's keeping me busy for now.

Correct.

phosphorus type are highly intelligent, perceptive and analytical individuals. This ofcourse is not to say that other remedies are not as a lot has to go in before a remedy is confirmed.

Phosphorus can easily step out of their shoes and into the others' and perceive how the others might feel. They are sensitive and impressionable with an ability to poke fun at themselves in order to make their friends laugh.

They are very forthcoming with their symptoms and also have the need to understand how the medicine will work on them. Often showing concern for the physician as well.

phosphorus can easily get carried away while writing or analysing something but in the earlier stages they are able to check themselves as they can have a detached and objective look at themselves.

So, Ana, having read just this post, you do seem a phosphorus type but if I am wrong and you are not I would have this to say in my defence:

'Homeopathy works in mysterious ways'
