Rishimba please help - Allergic conjunctivitis
My 9 year old son developed allergic conjunctivitis a couple months back. Started off with itching in the inner margins in the eye and the red streaks in his eye, pupils to outer corner. The doctor I first took him to misdiagnosed it as eye infection (not allergy) and gave him antibiotic eye drops. It did not improve.
Then went to eye specialist who put him on steroid drops for 2 weeks. It came under control. Then he has been on a moisturizer eye drop and Sodium cromoglycate 2% Eye Drops for 6 weeks now for maintenance. Eyes became and stayed normal as long as I did that.
Was supposed to taper drops off, but if I do stop, within a day or two the red lines at outer edges of eye to pupils, and itching comes back within a day or two of no drops. He has absolutely no pain/discharge/burning.
Apart from this my son has a history of chalazions since 2 years old. They come off and on and stay for quite a while since he was 2. Been chalazion free for 2 years now. He had Asthma as a baby that he outgrew by age 4.
Very fair, thin, very athletic and very intelligent, sensitive and strong food likes and dislikes, very affectionate..
Is there a homeopathic cure?
Any help much appreciated.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
From a couple of days after the time I wrote that post the eyes completely cleared up and stayed Ok for a couple of weeks with just the moisturizer drops.
Last weekend he played cricket on a grass field for 6 hour in the VERY hot sun and that set off the redness again.
Looked up and gave him belladonna 30 for a couple days, restarted Sodium cromoglycate 2% Eye Drops and the eyes were nearly normal. today went an dplayed soccer in a grass fiels and eyes turnign bad again.
Red lines on either sides of pupils become very prominent. There is mild itching in inner margins.
Am getting desperate.
I would like to try homeopathy with prescribed eye drops on the side.Am scared to stop it altogether. Can this be done?
Aslo will homeo have adverser reaction potentially?
Thanks so much!

Very fair, thin, very athletic and very intelligent, sensitive and strong food likes and dislikes, very affectionate..
Eats a very Indian diet. Will drink fruit juices no fruits whole. Will not eat bread - gets put off by smell. Throws up if any taste smell puts him off. As with all kids candy is favorite. No western food- has not developed taste.
Very sports orientated. Wants to play all the time. Early riser - on days he wakes late feels he has wasted time by sleeping.
Very affectionate. Very sensitive - gets v v upset if anyone fights - esp. me and husband. Also gets into an angry sulk if corrected at home. Also upset if corrected by teacher.
Very intelligent - the top 2 in class.
Hope this helps.
Initially allergy seemed to be to dust/environment. Current allergy seems to be to grass exposure for a long time. short periods 1-2 hrs seem OK.
THANKS!!

please give him PULSATILLA 30C, every 3 to 4 hours whenever he develops the inflammation.
if the itching and red streaks seem to get relieved by some doses of pulsatilla, you can give him one dose of PULSATILLA 200C to stop recurrance of the same.
one dose would be 4 drops of remedy in 10 ml of water sipped up slowly in empty stomach and clean mouth.
no food or water one hour before or after the doses.

pillules are fine..
keeping the pillules under the tongue for a long time is important for good absorption of the remedy.

Sunday was day 1 of pulsatilla. I did not stop drops. No games that day as rain. By Monday morning eyes were absolutely clear. So stopped both drops and pulsatilla.
Faint red lines started appearing by afternoon after. My son played soccer Monday evening for 2 hrs. Faint red lines became more prominent. So restarted pulstatilla and drops. Red lines not gone this morning.
Is pulsatilla working? What to do? Do not want to do anything that will make it worse.

After the post, sorry for long silence. Have been been very reluctant to stop drops as it is the eye that is affected
Pulsatilla did not seem to work .
Next after a week tried Sulphur for 3 days. No immediate reaction. Continued Sodium cromoglycate 2% Eye Drops and moisturizer.
Then next week, eyes were clear morning, got red around evening to night and then I put Sodium cromoglycate 2% Eye Drops only at night and moisturizer 3 times.
Then the whole of last week eyes were clear and I stopped Sodium cromoglycate 2% Eye Drops continued only moisturizer.
Again redness started yesterday. so back to Sodium cromoglycate 2% Eye Drops.
What to do?
Would like eyes to clear, but not confident to completely stop Sodium cromoglycate 2% Eye Drops when I try out Homeo treatment.
Can I do both parallel? What homeo to try next?
