Painful sebaceous cyst on the back of my 4year old
Hello,My son developed a small bump on his back around a year ago when he was 3.5 yrs old. Since it was small and not painful when I touched it, I thought it would go on its own. By the time he was 4, it became very painful to touch. I took him to a dermatologist. He said that it is dislodged & surgical removal is not necessary at this time. He asked us to come back after 6months.As per my observation it has grown a little more and is very painful to touch. It is just under the skin and the skin above is slightly dark in color. If it pains does it mean it is infected? Can you provide medicine info that can melt it.
