The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Pcos

I am a long standing sufferer of PCOS for the past 7 years. USG showed both my ovaries are bulky and show tiny cysts around periphery. My left ovary is more affected and pains frequently. I am acutely constipated all the time and have excess body hair.

I have had prolonged allopathy and homeopathy treatments before but nothing has helped cure my problems. After a while the medicines stop working and I become constipated and internally choked up again and I feel like my system strains very hard to function normally but it can't. As a result I feel fatigued all the time.

Any suggestions would be immensely welcome.

Please take Calcarea Carb 200 twice a day for 3 days and see how that affects over 15 days.

One dose means 2 pills or drops.

Thank you Dr Kadwa, I will be back with an update after 15 days.

Dear Dr. Kadwa,

I am back with an update. The pain in my ovaries was 90% better the first 7 days, but it’s reduced the 80% lately because I am still constipated, and the pain increases when I can’t relieve my constipation. But Calcerea Carb 200 has produced a marked improvement in my overall health. I am feeling more energetic and less depressed, also my appetite has returned and my skin looks healthy. I can feel the difference. My only fear is that the positive effects will wear off after a few weeks, like it has started to wear off now, and my problems will return. Please advise me on the next course.

Thanks a lot.

Please wait and watch. If you find that you are getting worse, please repeat the doses.

Dear Dr. Kadwa,

It has now been 15 days since my first dose of Calcarea Carb 200. I am definitely better than before, but the pain in my left ovary is still present. The pain varies in intensity- it gets stronger and milder throughout the day, but is always present. Lately, I've been feeling a bit mentally low.

I am still 50% better physically, than I was before taking the doses.

Kindly suggest me what to do. Thanks and regards.

You may repeat the doses. Please do some breathing exercises regularly.

Thank you Dr. Kadwa,

If the effects start to wear off with time, can I continue to repeat the doses safely?

Also, PCOS has given me severe Keratosis Pilaris on my back and arms. I have tried everything, but it doesn’t clear up. Could you please suggest me a remedy for the problem?

Thanks and regards

Buink 7 years ago
Yes, you can repeat safely. Calc should also help for Keratosis Pilaris in the course of time.

kadwa 7 years ago
Thank you Dr. Kadwa,

My keratosis pilaris is a very aggressive strain of persistent skin roughness. It’s on my upper arms and back. Is there anything apart from Calcerea Carb I could have that would relieve this annoying condition? Nothing seems to work on it. It all started with my PCOS.

Thanks & Regards.

Please take Kali Brom 30 in evening for 15 days and report back.

One dose means 2 pills.

kadwa 7 years ago
Calc may be taken on need. In case you take calc, kali brom should continue.

Thank you. Just to be clear, Kali Brom should be continued for 15 days, and in case I need to repeat the dose of Calcerea Carb during this time, Kali Brom should not be discontinued. In other words, both doses can continue together?

Best regards.

Yes, exactly.

Dear Dr. Kadwa,

How often can I safely repeat the dose of Calcarea Carb 200? I can lately feel the effects wearing off after 3-4 days of completing a 3-day dose, and the pain in my left ovary starts to slowly come back. I feel physically excellent when the doses are ongoing, but become sluggish within 3-4 days of completing a course, and I feel like my body once again starts to strain hard to fight the disturbances of PCOS.

Please tell me what to do.

Thanks and Regards, as always.

You may take Calcarea Carb 200 in evening for 10 days and see how that affects.

Hello Dr. Kadwa,

I am better now. The pain in my left ovary has decreased considerably, and I’m feeling better overall. I will continue to take Calcerea Carb as and when needed, thanks a lot. Although, one noticeable problem is a change in my appetite. I am suddenly feeling abnormally hungry all the time, even after full meals, I’m afraid if I continue to eat this way I’ll be in a lot of trouble weight wise. I don’t know what it is, I’ve never felt so hungry before. Almost as if PCOS was suppressing my hunger for all these years, and now that Calc Carb is treating me well, my system doesn’t know how to cope with a healing body, and is craving massive amounts of food all the time.

You should eat more fibrous foods like salads, fruits, vegetable soups. This should fill up stomach and won't lead to any adverse effects. Strictly avoid fried foods and sweets.

Dear Dr. Kadwa,

Thank you so much for Calcerea Carb 200. My ovarian pain is in check and I can see many positive improvements in terms of mood and energy. But there is one problem that doesn’t seem to go, which is my acute constipation. I am constipated 2 weeks in a month, and no amount of fibre or Isabgol husk stimulates my urge. This continues right up to the first day of my periods, then my bowels are regular for about 2 weeks, until I can't pass stool again for the following 2 weeks.

Your advice would be immensely appreciated.
Thanks and Regards.

Please take Graphites 200 twice a day for 3 days and see how that affects over a week.

kadwa 6 years ago
Dear Dr. Kadwa,

I took my final dose of Graphite 200 today. I took it for 3 days as suggested, and I know you said I should observe how it affects over a week, but it’s been nearly 3 weeks and I’m still constipated, I’m finding it extremely hard to function normally. Kindly suggest me what to do.

Thanks & Regards

Dear Dr. kadwa,

I am a 29 year old woman with long standing PCOS and recurrent pain in my left ovary. I have been on Calcarea Carb 200, as prescribed by you since October 2017 (2 pills twice a day for 3 days). I have repeated the remedy whenever the ovarian pain has shown signs of return. Lately, I am having to repeat the doses too frequently, as I can feel the effects wearing off too soon. The pain in my left ovary returns, and I stop having a bowel movement, with pimples around my chin and hairfall. Also my face starts to bloat as soon as the ovarian pain comes back, and I look swollen and different. Please help.
